NOVEMBER’S SILENT AUCTION
The silent auction is popular because the items are usually sold far below their value and everybody ends up happy. It is also the chapter’s chance to replenish its treasury.
The auction involves a lot of work getting gift certificates, baskets, and items and then putting everything together to make many attractive packages. If you have items to donate, gift certificates from your favorite places you patronize or perhaps helping to put together baskets, please give me a call, 847-639-8699 or send me a short email at email@example.com.
Here is an updated sampling of the businesses who have donated so far :
Joseph’s Marketplace, Marco’s Pizza, Family Video, Jewel-Osco, Trader Joes, Half-Price Books, Grand Buffet and Chinese Restaurant, Houlihan’s, Texas Roadhouse, Country Donuts, Buffalo Wild Wings, Brunch Café, Village Pizza & Pub, Bella Vita Salon & Day Spa, Algonquin Bowlero & Arcade, Golden Corral Buffet & Grill, and more coming in.

Dancing with the Stars will begin its 26th season with a 2-hour premiere on Monday September 25th.
The very best wishes to Gail Covenah, our chapter treasurer, who accidentally got stung by wasps which was a near fatal experience for her. Luckily her husband Rod, chapter president, called 911 and performed CPR. It was so scary. Thank God she is doing well now.
Summer sure seemed to fly by. Hope yours was wonderful and eventful. There were so many town festivals and events happening that it was difficult to choose which one to attend.
Since April we tended to our daughter who had a Crohn’s flareup. Thank God, it seems to be under control now but it is really a nasty disease.
We are anxious to start classes and see you at the GFV Chapter dances. Dance classes begin Sunday, September 10 thru September 21. SIGN UP NOW!

We look foward to seeing you all at the “Time to Tango” Dance. The Argentine Tango is a favorite of many of our students.
